dear environment..... i do love you
Something has changed at our house.... Mark and I gave up a major vice. Paper towels. We used paper towels like it was nobody's business and I was keenly aware that we overindulged in the paper towel department. I started feeling guilty so in honor of Earth Day we went cold turkey. Do you see these white towels? We now use them for everything, and I mean everything. I think Mark was a little scared at first, but it's totally working out and I have had only one or two withdrawals. I'm feeling pretty good about our change and I know it's saving us some money at the same time. This is an easy peasy lemon squeezy change.

it's still the same
How in the world did we ever let microwave popcorn become a household staple? There is absolutely nothing good about it and it's certainly not good for you. We are pretty much only eating "real food" now so I went back to my childhood and bought a hot air popcorn popper. And yes, it's still exactly the same as when we were little. Butter dish on top, kernels spit out, and always exciting for kids. It takes the same amount of time as a bag of popcorn and the only effort required is to pour the popcorn into it. I felt like I was a kid all over again. The biggest problem was finding one. I checked multiple places, but finally got lucky at Kohl's and it was only $19.99. Easy to find online too.

who wants a good laugh?
Please tell me you saw this on Pinterest. I saw this months ago and I am still laughing.
Nailed it!
Well my sister and I were dying of laughter when we came across the website Craft Fail.
We were literally laughing on the floor looking at all of these "Nailed It" photos.
Enjoy.
(and make sure you say "Nailed It" multiple times each day- it makes life so much more fun).

yesterday
Yesterday, my baby girl had an allergy test. There were some tears but we got through it.
I was thankful for the iPad. I rarely let the kids use it (mean mom, I know), but it was a life saver in the doctor's office with three kids. Well.... it was a lifesaver until the very end when my two year old pulled down the doctor's blinds. That was embarrassing. I wish I could show you the look on his face.
Never a dull moment, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.
Happy Friday!

poor bunnies
I am making an effort not to be wasteful, even with Easter candy. Two of these cute little bunnies got made into chocolate chips for some banana chocolate chip muffins. I can't wait to think of other ways to use the remainder bunnies and candy!

cutness
My mom made these for Easter, aren't they cute? Little deviled egg chicks! In case you were wondering, the eyes are little slices of black olives and the nose is a tiny piece of carrot. She saw the idea somewhere on Pinterest. Isn't Pinterest so much fun?

look what i made
It's been a long two weeks! My computer rendered itself useless and then my phone was stolen. Not good for blogging and designing. But I am back trying to wade through all of the to-do's and to catch up.
I have been so excited to show you what I made:
My own Sock Bunnies from Ashley at Lil Boo Blue's tutorial. Just in time to surprise my sweet kids in their Easter baskets. In total it cost me about $7.50 to make all three because I had everything but the socks. They are nowhere near as cute as Ashley's, but I still love them because I made them myself! I am so glad that I gave it a try!
