really cute

Okay so you may know that Jimmy Fallon tried to get the cast of Saved by the Bell to do a reunion show, but finally gave up. So instead he got the cast of California Dreams together (the show was on right after Saved by the Bell). At first I didn't remember the show....until they showed it and played the song. I knew it by heart! So to all you 1980's babies, enjoy watching the cute reunion on Jimmy Fallon.

but, life goes on

"Sometimes you're flush and sometimes you're bust. And when you're up, it's never as good as it seems. And when you're down, you never think you'll be up again. But, life goes on." - Fred Jung

beauty

I went to the MAC Cosmetics store last week to stock up on my usuals. The sales lady asked if I wanted to try their new mascara which uses a wand that has plastic bristles. I said "sure" since I was in a hurry and then immediately regretted it when I left, assuming I wouldn't like it when I got home. Like it....I LOVE it. It's the Studio Fix Lash ($13) and it's amazing. My eyelashes separate perfectly and there is a ton of volume. The brush has no clumps and the mascara is super smooth. I actually get excited to put my mascara on. Who would have thought!

p.s. Thanks mom and dad for the gift card!

feeling good

I'm back! The stomach flu mangled its way through our entire family last week. It wasn't fun but it feels great to feel good! So I'm back and I promise lots of new posts.

praying

My heart is breaking for the family of this missing girl. For more info go to the Help Find Chelsea King website. Anything is possible so keep your eyes open and say prayers for her safe return. If you live in the San Diego area they are doing volunteer searches. You can also find info on the Facebook page set up to help find her. Please repost on your Facebook, blog, twitter, etc.

donuts falling from the sky

I'm not really sure what the deal is, but in the last two days all I'm seeing is donuts! First, on the cover of Williams-Sonoma's catalog and now on the cover of Family Circle. Please make it stop. They look soooo good!

On top of it, while searching for the pictures of donuts for this post, I found this adorable Chocolate-Glazed Donut Cake recipe at williams-sonoma.com. So cute! I could see throwing a kids birthday party that has a breakfast theme and this is the cake. I'm done drooling now.

dress time

I have two weddings to go to in coming months and I'm already thinking about dresses. Luckily, I can probably wear the same dress to both weddings without anyone knowing (except you of course). These dresses were my finds this morning. The top left dress is at Anthropologie. I found the rest at Nordstrom.com. Can you guess which dress cost $675? I won't be purchasing that one but I do LOVE it (it's the top middle dress). There is also one that costs $23.90 (bottom right). Can't wait to lose a few more pounds to go dress shopping!

food food food

I have a problem. I really want to blog about food, but since I can't eat dairy for awhile (again), I feel like I'm missing out on everything. My diet is bland bland bland without milk or butter. On the other hand, it's easier to lose the baby weight this way. All I know is I would be lost without Mexican food right now. So I guess this post is a shout out to Mexican food for keeping me sane.

my agenda can wait

Three days a week we walk by this little park to pick up Brody from school. Often the kids want to stop and play, but I say no because there are three of them, it's lunch time and I'm not going to lie, I'm eager to put the almost 2-year old down for a nap. Well on this one particular day, I decided to let Piper play for a few minutes before we picked up Brody. She wanted to go on the swing and she was in pure bliss. She was so happy. So I learned a lesson. I need to stop always being in a hurry with my own agenda and put my babies in the swing so they can have 5 minutes of their own bliss.
