I've only mentioned a thousand times how much NieNie's story moves me. Well here's the actual story written by Jaimee Rose in the Arizona Republic. This is just the first installment. Plan on crying (over and over again).

I love to catch up about once a week with cakie's blog. She is really creative, great at sewing, and her family does the cutest things. It's definitely a blog fav. Check her out when you have time along with her etsy store (she doesn't have much in her store right now due to the arrival of a new baby girl). I purchased the cutest doll from her last Christmas for Piper.

I just had my Creative Nest Designs blog redesigned and I love the look of it. I still have some work on my end to get all the pages working properly, but I thought they did a great job!

If you want to pay to get your blog professionally done, especially if you are going to use it for business you should use Designer Blogs! I've decided to move away from my previous website and use the blog exclusively.

I can't wait to use them to redesign this blog in the near future!

inspiration

Life isn't exactly easy right now, but it's not downright awful either. I'm in a funk. Maybe an inspiration funk; what inspires me. I'm designing lovely things so it's not affecting my creative juices. I think it's life inspirations. I'm not reading my usual daily blogs about cute dresses and pretty things (although I am still writing about them). I find that I am searching for realness. The blogs I am going to are about people who have lost a spouse, been through trauma, or just have some deep life experiences to share. They are real to me and they inspire me in my everyday life and trials. We all know Nie Nie and her plane crash. We all waited on pins and needles to know that she would survive. I tell you......I check her blog every day, hoping for an update. And, when she does, I drink it up like a cold glass of lemonade. She is so real about her pain, her life, her hurts and her recovery. It hits me every time. Among other blogs, this is what makes me tick right now. These blogs give me perspective on my own life, about being a survivor, about the important things and just about being real. Tonight I needed a drink of realness to escape unnecessary drama and hoped Nie Nie was updated...and it was. And I drank it up. I took in some inspiration. I'm ready to move forward with my own obstacles. I know I will once again return to my old blog favs and pour over pretty dresses again, but not right now.

My sister Whitney & I came across this blog a few months ago and it's fun! It follows celebrities and their babies. Just mindless entertainment, but never mean and nasty like other celebrity blogs. I do hate the paparazzi so part of me feels like I shouldn't be reading anything that they make money off of, but I'm still grappling with that thought. For now I feel like this is jsut a nice break in the day. They also have a online store attached so you can buy some popular baby products.

Even if I only have one minute on the computer, I always check out Mary's blog pretty good. Her photos are divine, her words are few and it's usually just the perfect amount of loveliness I need in my day. Thanks Mary!

Sometimes.....

I have been feeling a little down in the dumps every now and then lately. But late at night, when I'm at my computer and the whole house is sleeping, I stay up just a little bit later so that I can read some blogs. I have bookmarked a lot of blogs, but here are two that kinda of make me feel a little better. We can call them favs and here they are:

1. c jane enjoy it- I started reading her blog when her sister Stephanie was in a plane crash. But I still read it when I can. I like to check into the world of Stephanie and Christian to see how they are doing. It humbles me and makes me appreciative. And knowing that they are healing makes me feel better. It really does. I also like to see what Jane is up to as she has all the kids with her and has a great sense of humor. This is the first blog I always check.

2. Snippet & Ink- I'm happily married but I love going to this blog with wedding pictures and inspiration. Some of my enjoyment is as an event planner, I get great ideas. But mostly, wedding pictures make me happy. Seeing how people put such beautiful touches into their own day makes me smile.

Just a little enjoyment.

Snippet & Ink Inspiration Board

I love this inspiration board that Kathryn at Snippet & Ink posted last Thursday. It is every bit me and is by far my favorite board that she has done! If only I wasn't married yet I would want to use this as inspiration, but I guess I will just have to find a way to throw myself some kind of fabulous party.

I am looking for someone who wants to be my "No Shopping" blogger for November. Now I know this will be a hard one since it is so close to Christmas, but maybe it would be good for someone who usually procrastinates on Xmas gifts or we could make a rule that would okay some Christmas shopping.
