i LOVE this

I am REALLY in love with this. Save the Children recently launched Caps for Good. Here's what they have to say, "Many American moms are looking to help moms less fortunate in developing countries without writing a check - this is the perfect solution. The basic idea is to knit a simple baby cap with your child (or solo), and save a newborn life. Knitting a baby cap is a simple and effective tool that can keep babies warm and ultimately contribute to reducing newborn deaths (which is 4 million per year) in the developing world. Once the caps are completed, readers can send the cap to Save the Children where we will then send them to our newborn health programs in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Readers will be able to view the progress of the caps online." Rad right? Just look at the picture, something so small can make such a big difference. And doesn't every baby deserve the right to be snuggly?

Need a pattern? You can view easy patterns at www.GoodGoes.org/caps. Or use your own pattern. Even if you don't know how to knit, you can buy a cap on etsy.com and send it in.

Go here for more info! And you know what, if you do it, I will send you a little something from me. I don't know what yet, but something cute. Just email at elhajs@aol.com me when your cap is in the mail!

xo,

Thanks for highlighting the great work of Save the Children. I made a cap and it's so cute. And fast and easy to make. I love the thought of it keeping a tiny baby warm somewhere.
