ah damn
I joined the club. I actually spent time purposely resisting it. I hate seeing a movie before reading the book, and I never get to read books anymore because I work at night. So I resisted Twilight. I never understood the appeal of Robert Pattinson or the obsession people had with the series. I don't even like vampires. Hot damn, I watched the movie and have now started the book. I may be in love (did you hear that Lauren?). I read some reviews about the movie after the fact, and reviews were mixed. Not enough violence, action, sex. But for me, it was a movie about innocence. I loved that it didn't need so much darkness to be beautiful. So here I am reading a little bit at a time, and joining the Twilight obsession, even checking when the next movie comes out (11/20/09).

I did hear that, Amanda....oh sure! I tried to resist, too, but could not. I, too, love the innocence and love that this series brings and I promise you that as you read the books you will not be disappointed.
Xoxo Just embrace it, it is so worth it. And I will so be at that movie...the day it comes out.
Lauren
It's easier to understand Robert Pattison's appeal once you've seen him in action.
Obsessed is right, I was the same way...I was not going to read this tween novel, whatever! Yeah I gave in and read all 4 in 3 weeks!! OH EDWARD!! But I did love the book better than the movie...at least the first we will see about #2
I read all 4 in 6 days. I lost lots of sleep that week!
I hear ya. I finally watched the movie when we moved 3 weeks ago and now I am on the 3rd book. I thought I wouldn't like it since so many people were excited about it, but I fell in love too.
